LIP BLUSH
Lip Blush - It’s a semi-permanent tattoo treatment done with a digital machine to implant pigment into the upper layer of the skin to enhance the natural shape of your lips. This is not the old style of semi-permanent makeup. Thick, bold lip liners can look very unnatural, this treatment is about making your lips look even, creating the illusion of a fuller lip. Lip blush can be as subtle or dramatic as you wish without the colour washing off. All you need to do is add a little gloss or lip balm and you're good to go!

Cold sore sufferers – This treatment can trigger cold sores for carriers of the herpes simplex virus. To prevent an outbreak, you should take a course of anti-viral cold sore medication to take 5 days prior to the treatment, the day of and 5 days after the appointment and should make Danielle aware of this.

*Danielle does not currently offer Lip Blush for clients with darker skin tones who suffer from hyperpigmentation until she has completed further training in dark lips and hyperpigmentation.

You will need 2 weeks after your lips have been done before you can go in the sun, have a sun bed or go on a sun holiday. You will not be able to get them wet for 5 days after you have had them done. For more information on what you need to do before and after your lips have been done, please read the ‘pre/post care’ page on the website.

How long does it last?
Lip blush tattoo can last between 2/3 years. With time and some of the below factors, the pigment can lighten and it may be necessary to have an annual touch up to bring the appearance back to its original high standards.
Here are some factors that will cause your semi-permanent tattoo to fade faster:
Oily skin
Retinol or Vitamin C
Iron deficiency
Sun exposure
Exfoliants
Exposure to salt water
Can I still get lip blush if I have filler?
Yes, lip filler does not interfere with the process of tattooing lips. However, if you have not had filler in your lips before and planning to have it done then it is recommended to have the filler done first before the lip blush tattoo.

Do not have filler for 2 weeks either side of the lip blush appointment

How much is the treatment?
It’s £350. It takes two treatments (included in that price) approx 6-12 weeks apart to get the perfect result.
Or, £450 for clients with a very cool blue/purple hue to the lips. These clients MAY require 3 sessions instead of the usual 2 sessions. The first session we will have to colour correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. This means the initial colour we tattoo must be orange. Then, once healed, a colour of your choice can be tattooed over the top at the next two appointments.

If you are unsure if you have very cool toned lips, you can send Danielle a picture of your lips here to confirm. Please take a picture in natural light using the back camera of your phone as its clearer than the front camera.

The treatment appointment itself is around 2-3 hours (this includes the consultation, pre-drawing and tattooing)

A £50 non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance payable in full on the day of your first appointment.

PLEASE NOTE* Danielle does not go over other peoples work unless the tattoo has faded enough for her to start again. If you have had your lips tattooed before, please send photos here before booking an appointment to check if your lips have faded enough. Please take a photo of your lips straight on using the back camera of your phone as it is clearer than the front camera.
